Technology and design bring a dose of fresh air to consumers

Febreze Plug is a new scented oil plug-in air freshener from Procter & Gamble. It alternates two complementary, noticeable scents that neutralize and eliminate room odors for continuous, lasting freshness. Febreze Plug has high and low settings to deliver adjustable waves of freshness and an indicator light that informs the user which scent is being circulated. Plug rotates to easily fit in any electrical outlet. The scented oils last up to 45 days and refills offer interchangeable scent options.

Design Central collaborated with P&G to redesign the plug-in air freshener to revitalize its premium position in the market. The new design, staying true to the visual brand language of Febreze products, emphasizes the dual scents feature for superior performance while achieving all the technical requirements of a glass refill. During the development process Design Central generated study models for and participated in consumer research, created preliminary packaging and explored alternatives for a more noticeable shelf presence. The Febreze Plug product fits seamlessly into the Febreze product family, complementing the line of Febreze products to eliminate odor and bring freshness to every room in the home.
