Taboos in Design

at California State University, Long Beach

Monica Tournoux recently spoke at California State University, Long Beach (CSULB),  for The Duncan Anderson Design Lecture Series, Designers In Their Own Words.  Monica's lecture “Taboos In Design,” covered the importance of understanding the user and the problems they experience, identifying their needs, and the positive impact this can have on society by changing conversations, breaking down social stigmas, and creating targeted product solutions.

The design department at CSULB works closely with IDSA-LA to bring professionals to the bi-monthly design lecture series. Past speakers have included George Escobar of Advent Film Group, Vijendra Nalwad of Belkin International, Robin Hayashi of IDEO, and more.
