Swiffer changes how we clean with simple, effective products

Consumers met the Swiffer Sweeper and embraced the brightly colored tool for its modern, new way to quickly trap dirt, dust and hair. Since then, the "art" of taking care of floors and surfaces have transformed as convenience seekers everywhere abandoned traditional methods for the easy to use and effective Duster, Wet Jet, and Sweeper. The Swiffer line-up is the epitome of P&G's mantra to develop products that meet and exceed consumer expectations and has gone through as many as four generations of releases. Design Central has been there along the way as an integrated development partner to ensure the devices are manufacturable, profitable and delightful.

Continuous improvement wins consumers

One of the many areas of improvement focuses on the conceptualization of textures for Swiffer's non-woven materials to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the product. We know from in-home research that consumers desire a product to trap dust and dirt quickly and easily for better cleaning results. Our design thinking, prototyping, testing and understanding of how to extend P&G's manufacturing processes create solutions that consumers embrace.
